Short Description
X4 Knee implants are used to eliminate the patient’s complaints regarding functionally or dimensionally deformed knee joints, besides in patients with decreases life quality caused by pain relating to arthrosis. Knee joint prostheses consist of the following parts; femoral components, inserts, tibial components, stems, pegs, nuts, patellar components.
Product Features
- The femoral component's anterior condyle is provided with reduced width and thickness to reduce anterior condyloid pressure and quadriceps tension. The same sagittal geometry and smooth curvature ensure that the patella does not increase the force of the quadriceps femoris when the knee is extended and flexed. With the deep patellar trochlear groove, the patella can remain stable and in the groove even in high flexion without dislocation, and constant contact is maintained between the patella and femoral prosthesis.
- The femoral component is designed with a slightly curved coronal plane to maximize the contact area in order to reduce peak pressure on the polyethylene insert. End-to-end edge loading is eliminated during varus-valgus rotation of the knee, thus maintaining face-to-face contact of the tibiofemoral joint.
- The Tibial Insert's anterior patellar notch reduces additional pressure and tension on the quadriceps femoris during high flexion.
- Posterior condylar curvature increases. The tibiofemoral joint surface remains in surface contact instead of point contact when flexion reaches 155 degrees.
- Open intercondylar fossa design: Intercondylar osteotomy is reduced and bone is preserved as much as possible for the patient.
- Optimized post structure: Provides complete engagement with the insert when the knee is in high flexion, thus preventing dislocation during high flexion.
- A unique additional locking mechanism is provided. Secondary fixation with metal anchors can eliminate friction wear between the two.
- Tibial Component Three-winged structure prevents stress concentration by preventing rotation.
